Anastasia Mastrakouli was born in 1989 in Athens and grew up in Lamia. Today she lives and works in Athens (Greece) as a visual artist. She has received an Integrated Master in Audio Visual Arts of Ionian University and individual training by private education institutions for Interior Architecture and Decoration, Fashion Design, Scenography and Costume Design. Since 2005 she has participated in film and audiovisual festivals with short films, video art and interactive installations, in exhibitions of painting, illustration, photography and contemporary art. Her first artistic participative action is at the age of 15, with the project "Orion" at the group exhibition of plastic arts in Alkmaar (Netherlands) in the framework of the 4th ANW Astronomy Day in cooperation with the University of Amsterdam. In 2011 she is awarded for the short film "Barriers", co-directed with George Tsirogiannis at the Patras International Film Festival. In 2012, she is awarded in a photography contest with the photographic series “Musician Life Cycle". In 2013 she curated the group exhibition "My own Ithaca" hosted by the Public Central Library of Corfu for 2 months. In the same year, the photographic series "Naked Silhouette Alphabet" is world-renowned for its international reputation and acclaim in news agencies such as Huffington Post, the Italian Repubblica, the art magazine Hi-Fructose and collaborates with Smithsonian Magazine to illustrate the permanent column of Physics Science in the June issue. In 2014 she directs her first TV commercial.In 2015 she participates in the TV series "10th Command”, with the creation of a video art for the titles of the beginning of the 17 episodes of the 4th season, which were screened by the Greek TV channel ALPHA TV. From 2017 until now she works as a production designer, art director and costume designer in cinema, television and theatre.
